Does Copious Bags offer any customization?

Copious Bags specializes in stock, ready-to-ship, quality stand-up bags. We do not offer any customization (including bag sizes, bag designs, bag materials, custom printing, or label application). TIP: Many of our customers use Canva.com to design and print their labels.

How do I choose the right size stand up pouch?

When choosing the right size bags for your products, it’s important to keep in mind the height and the volume of the product you are packaging.  The volume of your product plays a major role in choosing the right sized stand-up bag. For example, fine salt takes up less volume than whole coffee beans. The bulkier the product, the more space required. We suggest always going one size larger to accommodate your product. So this brings us to three measurements that might be helpful in finding the right size pouch for your product. Those three measurements are the fillable area, the area above the zipper.

The fillable area refers to the measurement of the bag below the zipper line to the bottom of the bag.The space above the zipper is often used to apply labels/stickers. It is also the area that can be heat sealed to preserve your product and to ensure a tamper-evident seal above the tear notches. It’s very important to remember that this area is included in the overall dimensions of the bags BUT it is not a fillable area. We have seen it so many times, where someone assumes that a bag size of 4″ x 6″ for example, will fit their product measuring 4″ x 5″ (sorry, but it’s not going to fit).

Our 3×5 stand-up pouch bags are specifically designed for single servings, and trial sizes.

Our 4×6.5  stand-up pouch bags are our most popular size and are designed for small items, or products.

Our 5×8 stand-up pouch bags are for medium products.

Our 6×9 stand-up pouch bags is our largest size and are ideal for larger bulkier products.

Can I order product samples?

Yes, and we make ordering samples quick and easy. To ensure your ultimate satisfaction with the size, material, and compatibility of our bags with your product, you may order single bag samples of each style and size by visiting our Order Samples page.

All sample orders placed before 4pm EST will ship the same business day.

Do you offer bulk pricing and discounts?

We sure do! The more you buy, the more you save. Discounts are applied when you order multiple quantities of the same style and same size bag. No coupon code is necessary as the discounts will be applied automatically at checkout.

How do apply for sales tax-exemption?

Orders being shipped within the state of California and Georgia will be charged the current state tax rate. The taxes collected are paid directly to the State of California and Georgia mandated by the local state governments. However, you may apply for sales tax exemption should this apply to your business. Please follow the directions below according to your state.

CALIFORNIA BUSINESS

If you qualify for a sales tax exemption, you will need to complete and sign a Resale Certificate. Email the completed form to hello@CopiousBags.com (prior to purchase as we are unable to refund the tax charged for previous orders). 

The certificate must be completed in full to be processed and the certificate information and the Copious Bags account information must match. 

The certificate will be verified through the California Board of Equalization by using the online Seller Permit Verification system (M-F). The following business day, you will receive an email letting you know if your account has been verified as ‘tax-exempt’. You may then proceed with your order. 

Please notify us directly should your resale certificate expire, be revoked, or is no longer in use.

If you have any questions about the form, contact the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration by calling 1-800-400-7115.

GEORGIA BUSINESS

If you qualify for a sales tax exemption, you will need to complete and sign a Certificate of Exemption (Form ST-5). Email the completed certificate to hello@CopiousBags.com (prior to purchase as we are unable to refund the tax charged for previous orders). 

The certificate must be completed in full to be processed and the certificate information and the Copious Bags account information must match.

The certificate will be verified through the Georgia Tax Center (M-F). The following business day, you will receive an email letting you know if your account has been verified as ‘tax-exempt’. You may then proceed with your order. 

Please notify us directly should your resale certificate expire, be revoked, or is no longer in use.

If you have any questions about the form, contact the Georgia Department of Revenue by calling 877-423-6711 option #1. 

How long does shipping take?

Shipping time vary depending on your specific location. To follow are estimations of expected delivery times:

  • United States* – Orders can take 1-4 business days to be delivered
  • International – Orders can take 6-20 business days to be delivered (varies depending on country)

International Order Delays: International shipping times vary greatly depending on the country. Some countries are designated as slow-to-ship; orders can take 4-8 weeks or longer.

Territories of the United States: Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands. Please allow 1-3 weeks for your order to be delivered.

Please Note: Once a package is in possession of the carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx), Copious Bags® has absolutely no control over the transit time. We cannot be held responsible for any delays, lost or undelivered packages. When available, tracking information is provided for every order (no tracking available for USPS First Class Mail). We suggest you contact the preferred carrier directly with any questions and/or concerns about delivery.

What is your return and exchange policy?

Your satisfaction and safety are high priorities for us. Because all Copious Bags® stand up pouches are FDA approved for direct contact with food, we do not accept returns or exchanges. This policy is in place to protect the integrity of our bags, and to ensure the safety of your products. However, if by chance Copious Bags® has shipped the incorrect product, we will gladly provide you with a return address label and ship the correct product immediately. You must notify us within 5 days of receiving your order.
